Evangelism
Evangelism involves telling others about the good news of the Christian message. We think that this good news is worth sharing, which is why we invite people to our Morning Service every Sunday to hear the message of the Bible.
“Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation"
The members of the church are also involved in telling others in different ways:
The Socially Disadvantaged
As a church we have had a lot of involvement with homeless and disadvantaged people. We mainly seek to meet their spiritual needs, but also their physical needs as much as we are able. Some of us invite folk home to dinner, and try to give whatever help or advice we can.
Home Bible Studies
For those who are interested in finding out more about Christianity, we run informal Bible Studies in somone's home. This is an opportunity to look together at what the Bible says, and to ask questions in a relaxed environment.
Street Preaching
Sometimes one or two of us go into the town centre on Saturday afternoons to do some street preaching at the market - usually by the clock tower.
We also give out Christian leaflets and invitations to our Bible Talk to shoppers in the town centre, or to local homes. Perhaps you have been given one of them? |
