We are setting up a group for international students at the University of Hertfordshire
 We are offering international students the opportunity to make friends with local people and to find out about the Bible and Christianity.
A number of us are professionals working in London and St Albans. We can provide help and training with English language and business skills.
Over the Autumn term we have been holding some social evenings on Friday nights. We have done things like ...

In the future, we plan to hire a room on/near campus and run some courses. Each week we will have a short presentation and discussion about the Bible. Don't worry if you have never read the Bible before, or don't know anything about Christianity. We will aim to explain it all clearly.
We also want to to provide help and training for international students, so each week we will have a session on something practical and related to either life skills or business skills. We want to ask the students who come along what they would find most helpful, but some of our ideas are:
- Presentation skills
- CV and Job Applications
- Interview skills
- Report writing

- Understanding English culture
- English language/conversation skills
- Shopping and cooking for students

Once we have had a chance to talk to some students and find out what they are interested in, we will develop a programme and post it here, so watch this space. |
